1. Connect

Email jeffrey.tao@vividscience.ca with the following:

  • Introduce yourself

  • Manuscript (proof if available)

  • Figures

  • Photos (if applicable)

  • Journal cover specifications/dimensions

  • Additional notes (eg. special issue focus)

I will respond upon receipt of email. The manuscript will be read within the next two days.

2. Setup a meeting

Through email correspondence, we figure out a time that works best for our time zones and schedules to meet (I operate in Mountain Daylight/Standard Time).

We will go over the following:

  • Meet & Greet

  • Manuscript summary (to ensure the manuscript is understood by me)

  • Preliminary designs

  • Brainstorm visual components

Follow-up communications will be conducted through email. Additional meetings may be scheduled if required.

3. Payment

When the preliminary design is accepted, a 50% deposit is requested before beginning the final illustration. You may choose to pay the full amount as well. An invoice will be emailed to you.

Credit card through online transaction is accepted. If you have a preferable means to pay (eg. through institution setup), let me know.

A final version of your cover art will be sent to you in 4-7 days. Check the FAQ for details about revisions and rush orders.

After approval of the final version, complete your transaction by navigating to the payment page to purchase the “Journal Cover Art (Completion)” item. After receipt of the final payment, high-resolution files will be sent via email.
